The Addiction Center of Broome County believes addiction is a complicated disease that can be stabilized and treated successfully with a patient-centered, recovery-oriented approach. ACBC believes that chemical dependency treatment and integrated dual disorder treatment should be individualized and coordinated with other service providers when appropriate. The philosophy which guides treatment is the promotion and maintenance of abstinence from alcohol and other mood altering drugs. Different patients must be afforded different timelines to achieve treatment goals, including abstinence.
