Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In South dakota SD

My son had been to treatment many times and I had almost given up. I am so glad I did. Mark Bontreger Incorporated was really good for him. They were professional and courteous all the time and treated him with dignity and respect. Staff is great. They are amazing. My son loved them.

The folks here at Tallgrass Recovery and take your thought processes and irrational beliefs and tell you how they affect people around you in your own life and then teach you rational beliefs that can make you successful in life. This is a place of love and healing. This facility is AWESOME! There is a lot of positive direction that this treatment program has in the direction of a lifetime of recovery. They are the real deal! The staff was all very helpful and supportive to my recovery.

Staff gives 100% effort every day to their job. An absolutely awesome place to stay for recovery as long as you want recovery. Dedicated Caring Staff. The groups were good and they teach you how to deal with your issues that cause the addiction. You can actually feel that they genuinely care about your recovery and well-being. The supportive staff at this facility was always there for me and they all did their best to make sure that there weren’t any hurdles in my recovery.

Definitely a great staff all around and 24 hr supervision helps make this place really feel safe and comfortable for your treatment. The facility is clean, beautiful and the staff is friendly and really helpful. Everything was great. The case managers care so deeply about every patient there. The Addiction Recovery Ctr of the BH environment and staff are wonderful. I didn’t feel exploited but in fact, I felt I was helped with love and concern.

SD Substance Abuse Facts

Drug and alcohol abuse continues to spread throughout our country, from large cities to small towns and everywhere in between. No state is immune from the problems substance abuse disorders create in families and in communities, including South Dakota.

In government surveys conducted between 2014 and 2015, patterns of drug and alcohol abuse were seen across all ages and demographics:

  • About 6.4% (or 4,000) of adolescents and teens between the ages of 12 and 17 reported using marijuana in the past month.
  • Approximately 10% (or 7,000) of that age group also reported using alcohol during the same time frame.
  • In South Dakotans 12 years and older, nearly 2,000 of them had used heroin in that year.
  • An estimated 403,000 South Dakota residents reported using alcohol in the past month, and 7.4% (or 51,000) of them also had an alcohol use disorder between 2014 and 2015.

Getting Addiction Treatment Help

When seeking help for a drug or alcohol abuse problem, it can feel overwhelming to know where to begin. Fortunately, you can search for treatment in South Dakota from this page’s directory listings. If you prefer to attend treatment outside your home town or state, you can also browse treatment listings across the country. Treatment consultants are also available to speak with by calling us. They can provide you with options for treatment and answer questions you may have about how to get started.

For anyone with health insurance, a call to your benefits provider can point you in the right direction by giving you a list of substance abuse treatment providers and programs that your plan will pay for.

You may also consult with a trusted physician, therapist, or psychiatrist for a recommendation for a local substance abuse treatment provider. Additionally, community health centers often have lists of qualified providers available to the public.

Where Else Can I Find Help?

Even if you don’t have insurance, there are still plenty of options available for you. South Dakota Medicaid provides coverage for substance abuse treatment services to those who meet certain income requirements.

And, though many people may not realize it, most treatment centers are very willing to work with you on payment options so you can receive the help you need. They often have sliding scale payments based on income or will allow you to make payments over an agreed-upon period of time. Also, some treatment centers offer partial or full scholarships to people who meet certain criteria.

Local churches, nonprofits, and charitable organizations frequently have benevolence funds or grants for those in need as well, and many partner with addiction treatment centers.
