Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In Arkansas AR

The staff and care takers are the most helpful in the recovery program. The treatment you receive is top notch. They are the real deal! The staff and therapists were maxing. The room looked and felt like that of a luxury hotel. The clients are very friendly, helpful and made me feel normal, considering this is a rehab facility.

My parents found Preferred Family Healthcare Incorporated and I am so glad they did. I’ve been using and trying to quit heroin for the last 10 years and it’s been really hard. I’ve gone to a few 28-day programs but they didn’t really do much good. By the time the 28 days were up I still wouldn’t be feeling all that great and when I went home it became almost impossible to stay clean. Since I wouldn’t be feeling completely fine and knowing that I could be feeling better if I just used it became all about willpower for me to stay clean and that never worked well for me. If sheer willpower alone could have kept me clean I wouldn’t have needed rehab in the first place. The fact that Preferred Family Healthcare Incorporated wasn’t based on time but on my own progress through the program made such a huge difference for me. I was able to move through the program at my own pace and when I did move forward on my program I was completely 100 percent ready to. Another thing about Preferred Family Healthcare Incorporated that was different for me was the fact that I actually enjoyed my time there. I didn’t spend my time there wishing I was somewhere else. I was happy being there and that made it so much easier to really concentrate on my program and not on anything that was happening at home. The counselors at Preferred Family Healthcare Incorporated are beyond amazing. I’ve never been to a place where every single counselor cares that much about the clients. There’s a lot of staff there that have had their own experiences with drug or alcohol addiction and because of that they really want to help the clients that come through. There wasn’t one time when I couldn’t talk to a counselor about something that was bugging me. I never felt like I was getting blown off. I also felt understood on a completely different level. It’s one thing for a counselor to tell you they understood what you’re going through. It is quite another thing to actually feel understood. At Preferred Family Healthcare Incorporated I always felt like I was understood and that I would get the help I needed to get through whatever it was I was going through at the time. A few other things about Preferred Family Healthcare Incorporated that I loved. We got to go out once a week with the other clients and go do something fun. You wouldn’t think it’d be that important but in actuality it made me realize how easy it was to have a good time without drinking or getting high. I was at Preferred Family Healthcare Incorporated for a little over 2 months and when I went home I was completely confident in my own ability to stay sober. I’ve been staying with my parents until both they and I feel like I’m ready to move out again. It’s amazing being about to reconnect with my parents. I never realized I missed just hanging out with my mom. I’m working now. I’ve had the same job for 2 months and as sad as it sounds, it’s the longest I’ve held a job. Going to Best Drug Rehab has completely changed my life. I’ve never been happier than I am right now and it’s all because of the program and the people at Preferred Family Healthcare Incorporated.

Second Change Recovery Center is an amazing treatment facility. I have been to quite a few and Second Change Recovery Center was by far the best one. I am so grateful for all of the staff that helped me and look forward to being part of their alumni program so that I can go back and help the clients as well. Thank you Second Change Recovery Center!

Therapy based on individuals needs. All the staff is well educated on addiction and have a genuine love for what they do.

AR Substance Abuse Facts

Arkansas is no stranger to substance abuse. Recent statistics show that:

  • In 2012, Arkansas had a higher rate of nonmedical use of prescription painkillers among people aged 18-25 than the national rate (12.9% vs. 10%).
  • The state also had higher rates of nonmedical use in those aged 26 and older compared with the national rate (4.3% vs. 3.5%).
  • That same year, Arkansas was in the top 10 states for the number of prescribed opioid pain medications, with 116 prescriptions per 100 people.
  • 113,000 people 18 and older had an alcohol use disorder in 2014-2015 in AR.
  • In 2013, over 11,000 Arkansans enrolled in a state-funded alcohol or drug treatment facility.

Substance abuse has the potential to bring about or worsen mental health issues, which seem to be a concern in the state. In 2014-2015, youth had higher rates of past-year depressive episodes, while adults had higher rates of past-year suicidal thoughts and past-year serious mental illness than the national average.

Getting Addiction Treatment Help

Addiction is a serious condition, and there’s no shame in reaching out for help. Several options are available, depending on your situation.

As you begin the process of selecting a program, think about whether you need to spend time away from your home environment or whether you need to be close to your loved ones. Also, consider how much your insurance will cover and how much you can pay out of pocket, if necessary.

Other factors to consider are:

  • What kind of therapies the program utilizes.
  • Whether you can receive detox services there.
  • Whether you need a program that offers medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction.
  • Whether the facility treats dual diagnosis conditions (if you’re suffering from a mental health disorder).

If you need help finding a recovery center, call us any time of day or night.

Where Else Can I Find Help?

Those who cannot afford rehab or don’t have insurance can look into free and low-cost rehab programs funded by states and nonprofits, though these programs can have long wait lists.

You can also find a program that charges based on a sliding scale or tap into alternative funding sources such as crowdfunding sites. Most programs also create payment plans so that you don’t have to pay off the entire bill at once.
