User Reviews: When I arrived at Crossroads Recovery Center Gulf Coast Mental Health Center, with everything that it had to offer, it wasn’t much hard to fall in love with this facility and yes, it made my recovery a lot easier than I had imagined it could’ve been. They serve you with a lot of exotic food options that are plain awesome and you also get to have free ice cream and cigarettes, if you smoke. I very much liked the staff too as they did everything in their power to make me feel at home. You can actually feel that they genuinely care about your recovery and well-being. You always have fun activities to participate in at the facility beside the regular BBQs, movie nights and trips to the beach. I loved the arts and crafts sessions and the group therapy session was also great and felt like a deep bonding experience with other people struggling with the same problems as me. I have been recommending their services to the people and I know and will keep on spreading the word. Thanks!

User Reviews: Unless you want to be thrown in an apartment with a bunch of chain smoking misfits, do not go to Copac. It's a horrible place to try and get sober. There are much better places to be than Copac. They claim to have a professionals program, but that's completely not the case, unless you consider spending 90 days with a bunch of kids that were court ordered to rehab, professional. They only positive about the place was the counselors. They really seemed to have your best interest at heart. The Medical Director, is an arrogant, narcisist with the personality of a 2X4. He jumps to conclusions and just assumes that everything you say is a lie.The road to recovery is a difficult path, but well worth the journey. There are much better places to begin that journey than Copoac. Good luck.

User Reviews: Best Drug Rehabilitation is one of the most amazing facilities that I have ever been through. This place offered me a space where I could learn and grow as an individual. It taught me the life skills needed in order to be an effective member of society without needing drugs and alcohol. Through counseling, classes, and small groups they gave me the tools to stay sober that I had never received before. The staff was knowledgeable, kind, and always there to provide support when needed. From my intake experience to my drive to the airport to return home; I felt validated and heard. Home of Grace for Women taught me how to love myself, gave me my voice back, and taught how to trust again. They gave me the things I had lacked in my life so that I could stay sober. They taught me that sobriety was a lifestyle change and that I was the chooser in my destiny. I will be forever grateful for this place.

Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In Mississippi MS

The staff is very supportive and takes the time to share loving kindness and compassion to the residents. The staff really do take the time and care to help their patients through the hardest time in their life. Easy to get to, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable. The classes give you a lot of important tools for successful sobriety. Everyone from the therapists to the cook to the housekeeping staff was nice, welcoming, and energetic. Loved It Here! A life without drugs and alcohol.

Caring staff Located in a serene environment. Great facilities. Maybe catered more to younger patients. Had a family member go to the facility. Our family learned a lot about addiction, mainly how to support our loved one effectively while establishing boundaries. It has been an integral tool in the healing of our family.

They assist families with transportation options. Great treatment center. A variety of programs are available at Addiction Campuses of Mississippi for the people in recovery that are customized according to their individual needs. The staff was excellent and professional. All of the staff is very professional and truly cares for every client. The only thing I regret about treatment with Addiction Campuses of Mississippi, is that I didn’t come sooner.

COPAC was very patient and caring when dealing with my loved one. All of the staff I dealt with were passionate about helping and were also very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this treatment center as an option for anyone who has a dual diagnosis of mental health and substance abuse.

MS Substance Abuse Facts

Substance abuse disorders are extremely common in the United States—in 2015 alone, more than 20 million people had a substance use disorder related to alcohol or illicit drug use.

The number of drug overdoses involving opioids continues to be a major public health problem across the nation. In 2015, more than 33,000 people died from opioid overdose. Mississippi residents have felt the unfortunate consequences of the opioid epidemic:

  • In 2014, there was an average of 1.1 opioid prescriptions written for every single Mississippi resident.
  • Hydrocodone was the most commonly prescribed opioid (2,020,974 prescriptions), followed by tramadol (521,093 prescriptions), and oxycodone (449,243 prescriptions).
  • Between 2010 to 2011, 142 babies were born with neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) because their mothers used opioids during pregnancy. There were 2.7 NAS-related hospitalizations per every 1,000 neonatal stays.

Getting Addiction Treatment Help

There are numerous options available for recovery, including inpatient residential programs, outpatient services, and partial hospitalization programs that fall somewhere in between in terms of time commitment and treatment intensity.

To find out which Mississippi rehab center is best for you, begin by browsing through our directory of rehab centers to see what types of treatment programs are available in your area, or call us to speak directly with a recovery specialist who can help.

Before choosing a program, it’s a good idea to list the key features you are looking for in a treatment program. For example, location may be very important to you. Do you want to be close to home or far away so you can focus on recovery without any of the distractions of your day-to-day life? Another factor is the type of therapy offered. If you are interested in a mindfulness-based approach, you may want to find a center that offers alternative therapies like yoga or meditation. Taking the time to review what’s important to you before entering a treatment program will help set you up for success and ensure that you have the optimal experience in treatment.

Where Else Can I Find Help?

Addiction therapy is designed to help you build the skills that will help you avoid relapse after leaving treatment. Although it includes a large upfront cost, the investment you are making in your health could help save your life by preventing further harm.

To get started, you can reach out to treatment centers that offer sliding scale payment plans. Your treatment fee will be based on what you can afford to pay. You can also look into financing options and pay for treatment in monthly installments instead of in one lump sum. There are other ways to cover the cost, including raising funds through crowdfunding, asking friends or family for help, or taking out a healthcare loan.
