User Reviews: My daughter has had much hurt and pain in her life and had experience depression, anxiety, and panic attacks for years which led to drug addiction. She has been to doctors, in counseling, in outpatient care, and in hypnosis to get help. With no relief, she continued in her addiction and was digging a hole so very deep that her very life was at risk. She asked me to find a place that was different than where she had been because she was desperate to be clean and get on a better road to recovery. I called several places but finally was led to Ogeechee Behavioral Health Services Louisville as this was a holistic center. Exactly what my daughter needed. She was admitted to a 30-day inpatient care program. The facility was so very welcoming, calming, and serene. The staff was so awesome, understanding and considerate of our emotions and feelings. They welcomed her in and worked with her on so many issues. When she would call home, she would talk about all of the different treatments she was getting and how it was helping her. She actually said she was having fun! The road to recovery is a long one and we know this as her family; however, because of this facility and the staff and management there, she has experienced wellness and she is clean. I thank you all at Ogeechee Behavioral Health Services Louisville for what you have achieved in this facility and for all that you did to support my daughter and our family. God bless you all.

Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In Georgia GA

Everybody here is truly amazing. A lot of fun activities, great food and there’s even Xbox installed in all of the rooms so you can imagine how many things you get to have to kill your time. Also, the cook and food were amazing at the facility. Everyone from the director to the housekeeper to the chefs takes a personal interest in each and every patient. Instead of leaving you there to go through withdrawal on your own, the nurses are always with you. Thank you, for everything Saint Judes Recovery Center Inc Detox, I am really going to miss the staff and friends that I made here.

I would like to say thank you to all of the wonderful staff at McIntosh Trail Community Service Board Henry County Developmental Disability Center. The kind, compassionate and knowledgeable staff helped me to be the person I was before drugs. I struggled with addiction for over 8 years and am proud to say I will never use drugs again. I could not have accomplished this without the help of the amazing staff. I never believed that I could be drug-free. I am now and I love it. Thank you to all the staff.

Family-oriented. Really cares about each individual client. Relatively new. Not yet known to the entire community.

This place saved my life! If it wasn’t for the staff, I don’t know if I would be where I’m at today. I was crippled with fears, doubts, and insecurities. They met me where I was at and had a game plan for me the entire way. They made me feel extremely welcomed from my first day all the way until my completion. Consistent the whole way. Thank you Process!!!!

GA Substance Abuse Facts

In Georgia, thousands of residents suffer from problems with drug and alcohol abuse. A survey conducted by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in 2014-2015 found that in Georgia alone:

  • An estimated 1 million people aged 12 and older reported having used marijuana that year.
  • About 143,000 individuals in this same age group reported past-year cocaine use.
  • Approximately 12,000 people aged 12 and older reported past-year heroin abuse.
  • Alarmingly, about 223,000 people between the ages of 12 and 20 reported past-month alcohol use.

Nearly half a million individuals living in Georgia had an addiction to alcohol in 2015. This represents more than 5% of all Georgia residents and is similar to the national rate of alcohol use disorder.

Luckily, addiction treatment programs are available to help you on the road to recovery. In 2015, more than 25,000 people in Georgia received substance abuse treatment, which was about 4,000 more than in 2011. Of those individuals enrolled in rehab 31.4% sought treatment for both drugs and alcohol abuse.

You don’t have to battle addiction alone. Enrolling in a recovery program can provide you with the foundation you need to begin a happier and healthier life.

Getting Addiction Treatment Help

Before you start searching for an addiction treatment program, it helps to answer some basic questions to narrow down your options. You may want to start by contacting your health insurance provider to learn more about your coverage. You can also learn more about the various therapies and amenities offered and decide which ones appeal to you. Do you want a luxurious, high-end setting, or a rustic escape? Do you want to stay in Georgia, or travel far from home to get away from your daily life? Do you want traditional therapeutic methods, or does a new-age holistic approach appeal to you?

Thinking about what you want and then answering questions like these is a great start toward finding the perfect rehab center for you.

Every substance abuse treatment program is different so it’s important to do your research before making a decision. You can call us to speak to trained treatment support specialists who can provide you with useful recovery information.

Where Else Can I Find Help?

If you don’t have health insurance coverage or the financial means to pay for a rehab program outright, there are still plenty of ways to get the treatment you need. Many facilities offer repayment plans and even sliding scale fee models, in which patients are charged for services based on their ability to pay.

Some scholarships are available to help low income individuals enter treatment, and some state-funded programs are available completely free of charge. You can also check to see if you qualify for Medicare or Medicaid health insurance coverage in order to receive treatment.

Resources in Georgia

Substance addiction doesn’t have to control your life and you don’t have to struggle alone. There are many valuable resources in Georgia that you can use to find treatment and recover from a drug or alcohol addiction, including:

You are not limited to the resources above. There are many other recovery groups in Georgia that may suit your needs and provide you with the support necessary to obtain and maintain sobriety. Take the time to explore your options and choose the program that can best address your specific situation. What works for one person may not work for another; everyone’s path to recovery is different.
