STEPS is a private, not-for-profit, community based organization that offers comprehensive substance abuse education and treatment services to women, men, and their children regardless of age, race, religion or national origin. Priority is given to pregnant injecting drug abusers, pregnant substance abusers and injecting drug abusers. STEPS works tirelessly to provide the highest quality services to people who are struggling with substance abuse and addiction.? The disease of addiction does not discriminate.?? STEPS, INC. was founded in 1983 by a group of concerned citizens and is dedicated to serving the needs of the community.  Our clients are recognized as individuals who possess the inner resources necessary to create the desired positive change in their lives. Treatment consists of facilitating clients in accessing and utilizing those resources to live responsible as productive members of the community.
Specialized Treatment, Education and Prevention  Services Inc. is licensed by the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families to provide substance abuse services.  STEPS is also certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
