Overview

Family Counseling Services is a licensed, non-profit, non-sectarian agency serving Eastern Long Island. Established in 1971, it is a community-based, United Way agency providing treatment, prevention, education, crisis intervention and supportive services at its main office in Westhampton Beach and its satellite offices in E. Yaphank and Shirley. Our clients come from many areas of the East End including the Towns of Southampton, Riverhead, Brookhaven, East Hampton, Shelter Island and Southold. Each year, over 6,000 families and individuals benefit from our services.

The agency serves individuals and families in need of professional help in many areas of mental health including:

Youth and family problems
Depression, anxiety disorders and adjustment to life transitions
Substance abuse treatment and prevention
Substance abuse education in schools and community
Domestic violence and child abuse
Treatment and advocacy for families coping with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
