Treatment Center Philosophy

Brisas Recovery and Wellness Center of La Jolla is an intensive outpatient program for chemically-dependent individuals struggling with addiction. Services provided include substance abuse education, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness training, stress management, communication skills training, family education and support. toxicological monitoring, psychiatric and physician services, community resource facilitation, and more. Clients receive nine hours of weekly group therapy, as well as one hour of weekly individual counseling to help them achieve lifelong sobriety.

Additional adjunctive services are also offered, such as acupuncture, massage therapy, yoga, health and nutrition education, biofeedback, and expressive arts therapies.
Individual Counseling
IOP participants receive one weekly, private individual therapy session for a total of 10 hours of substance abuse treatment weekly.
