BAART San Mateo provides medication-assisted treatment to persons who have developed opioid dependence. This severe condition can include addiction to prescription pain killers or use of street opioids, such as heroin. People with chemical dependence on opioids are often misunderstood and misjudged. We at BAART San Mateo are proud to provide access to evidence-based, effective, safe and affordable treatment; and, to help people return to a happy, healthy and productive life.

Our services include short and long-term maintenance therapy with methadone and buprenorphine/suboxone. In addition to dispensing medication, we provide client-centered treatment planning and individual substance abuse counseling, an integral component of our treatment.
