Overview

JIW consists of a team of experts who are dedicated to help to remove the barriers through outpatient behavioral treatment to individuals whose lives are impacted by substance use/abuse/dependency. Drug addiction is a complex illness characterized by intense and at times, uncontrollable drug cravings, along with compulsive drug seeking behaviors.  This behavior results from prolong exposure on brain functioning.  Addiction is a brain disease that affects multiple brain circuits, including those involved in reward and motivation, learning and memory and inhibitory control over behavior.  Treatment is not simple.  At JIW we incorporate several components that are tailored to the needs of the individual.
