Overview

Samaritan Daytop Village is widely recognized as a trailblazer for pioneering specialized treatment for veterans struggling with substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorders and other challenges. In 1996, Samaritan Daytop Village opened a licensed residential treatment facility for veterans in midtown Manhattan, and in 2011 opened the nation’s first residential treatment facility exclusively for women veterans.

While Samaritan Daytop Village does offer some gender specific services most of our residential and outpatient programs are co-ed in nature.

Private insurance does not cover the cost of intensive residential treatment. Your insurance would only cover medical services received (e.g., physical exam, blood work, medication). Currently our residential services are paid for through a mix of government funding and third party payments with almost no insurance acceptance.
