Overview

BRAZOS PLACE is a residential and outpatient treatment facility for adults, male and female, 18 years and older, who meet the admission criteria and who express a desire to begin the process of recovery from addiction to alcohol or other drugs. The program focuses on developing and maintaining sobriety; acquiring the knowledge, understanding, and skills to change personal behaviors, and establishing a commitment to a personal program of recovery.
 
Admission Criteria:
 
    Adults 18 years of age or older
    Medically Stable
    Screened by staff
    Desires treatment
    Meets the Federal Poverty Guidelines
NO ONE WILL BE DENIED SERVICES FOR LACK OF ABILITY TO PAY!
 
BRAZOS PLACE Is licensed by the Department of State Health Services (DSHS)

Intensive Residential Program
Brazos Place has a minimum 30 day Intensive Residential treatment program.  The length of stay depends on the needs of the client.

The facility provides room and board and 24-hour supervision.  Daily participation in support group meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and Cocaine Anonymous are a vital part of the program.
 
Support for the family/friends of our clients is as important to recovery as the client's continued abstinence.  Information is available for any interested person.


Adult Outpatient Program  
The Outpatient Program provides a minimum of 6 hours of face-to-face contact a week.  The program includes:

Group Therapy
Individual Therapy
Family Dynamics
Communication Skills
Stress Reduction
Recovery Dynamics
Recreation and Social Activities
12 Step meeting/support
 
Daily participation in support group meetings, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and Cocaine Anonymous are a vital part of this program.


While Brazos Place is not a facility specifically dedicated to veterans, we are a veteran-friendly organization.  In many respects, our veterans are the most important people we serve.  They are special to us because we feel so strongly about the sacrifices they have made for our nation.  Brazos Place works closely with the Veteran Administrator and regularly accepts referrals from the Michael E. DeBakey Regional Veteran's Medical Center in Houston and works with the VA Outreach program in Lufkin, TX.
